| Our relationship is built on trust, mutual respect, and communication. We’ve been together for 11 years and enjoying married life for 7 years. We love to talk with each other, we enjoy being together, and we still make each other laugh. We look forward to sharing our love and laughter and opening our hearts to a child. Through open adoption we hope to start our family and welcome the opportunity to include our birthmother. Open adoption is wonderful because we feel that it is important for a child to know their birth family as well as their adoptive family—we truly believe that there can never be too many people to love a child. |
| How we spend
our time... |
Most weeknights we’re likely to be at home cuddled up on the couch watching a movie or enjoying dinner at home with friends. Reading is one of our favorite things to do together and we would love to spend time reading stories with our child. Kate also loves to bake so she looks forward to digging into a big bowl of cookie dough with our child and getting their hands sticky! Eric loves to tinker in our garage and would love to share his enthusiasm for his Jeeps. Our at home time is special to us, but we also love to travel, especially when it’s a short trip to enjoy visits with our family, playing in the sandbox and pushing our niece and nephew “higher, higher!” on the swing set. We have many other interests including a love of all kinds of sports. Eric would be thrilled to show how to catch the ball, help line up a putt, or coach soccer. Kate looks forward to coaching track, teaching the perfect jump shot, or carpooling to whatever fun our little one dreams up. Together, we love hiking with our dogs and can’t wait to toss on backpacks and start sharing the wonders of the outdoors with our little one! Camping is one of our other outdoor passions, so we are eagerly awaiting a time when we can huddle by the campfire, make gooey s’mores and sip hot chocolate as a family.
