Mt. Rushmore (how'd I get such great parking spots for pictures?) I'm very happy I got to see this in person finally. The moon over the plains in SD... who says flat land can't be beautiful? Well... ok, so some of it isn't thrilling. This is what a lot of the highway looks like coming across South Dakota and Iowa. (Who stole my "r"?) At 4WD Hardware in Ohio. We made it for their Jeep Jamboree and stayed over one night to check things out.
My one other, minor mechanical issue: the crossmember coming loose while at 65 MPH on I-95. Fixed at Fredericksburg, VA Home Depot & Pep Boys HOME!! Made it back to Durham after a stop at my folks' in Baltimore to drop off my brother. Odometer at home. 61968.15 miles. Adjusted for the oversized tires, the total distance was *drumroll*

......5344.5 miles!!!
